I had gum surgery performed a while ago. how do i reduce the appearnace of gaps?
I removed some gum and now big gaps are between every teeth. What are my options to make my smile better?
The best answer
Probably crowns or caps. They can make the teeth a little larger to hide the gaps.

contact your dentist - I had to have the same thing done and I also had the gaps - my dentist had to go in and so some more work to make things even back out
No, no , no , no! Did you ask your periodontist before asking a bunch of people you don't even know and who don't know themselves? I had to have this same thing done 11 years a go. When they finally took the packing out I thought I looked like a freak when I smiled. In time (this is a pretty drastic surgery on your gums, they are in shock right now) your gums will come out of shock and will refit themselves around your teeth. Just give it time. Be glad you had the surgery and now you can be more careful. Make sure you go to your dentist regularly (I had to go every three months for a while) and have them cleaned. Floss, floss, floss! After 11 years I have just now been told by my dentist that I need a evaluation for a few deep pockets I have. Can't complain I guess. It is nothing you can reach with flossing either. So keep you regular appointments.
unfortunately there aren't any. the best thing you can do is to encourage young people to never miss a day of flossing and not make the mistakes that you did.
