i have metal...
Go with metal i have metal and it works faster.
Invisible will take longer, plus it will be kind of odd having your mouth look all big, and having food on your "invisible" braces. Go with the metal if you under 15 or older than 32. If not go with the invisible!
I had braces when I was younger. They were metal. They were painful, and I'm sure that the invisible ones are just as good. Talk it over with your orthodontist.
metal
Go w/ metal and get a color with them.
It depends on what you can afford. I think metal are cheaper.
invisable. trust me i had braces and i didnt feel much pain
If you're younger it won't matter because braces are commonly worn by younger folks so they don't look weird on you. If you're older though, it depends on how comfortable you feel wearing them. I've met some people with metal braces who are mid to late twenties and I have to admit I can't stop looking at them. I just never get used to it. But the metal ones are drasticly less expensive so it's up to you and your confidance level. They got discreet metal ones too you know.
Some years ago I used metal braces for like 16 months and my experience was good. I felt uncomfortable at the beginning and I had some "scratches" inside my mouth (normal thing the first few days) but then I got used to the braces and I had no trouble with. I think there are not technical differences between metal or invisible braces. You'll have to see your dentist the same amount of times and both kind of braces have the same "issues". The final answer is that metal or invisible is a matter of image and price. If you think you're going to feel uncomfortable with your new metal look, go invisible. And if you can handle that look (is not terrible, at least it wasn't for me) you may want to save some money and go with metal.
I would go with the metal! The invisible braces look better at first, but they began to have a "stained" look, which is clearly unattractive! The metal are more versatile...you can change out the rubber bands, and it is sometimes fun!
