What does "Resin, 1 surface anterior 8 F" mean?
Also "Resin, 2 surfaces posterior 2 MO"
and "amalgam 2 surfaces, 2 OM"

#8 is your upper right front tooth. The F stands for the surface that needs a filling which is F (facial surface) front of tooth. Resin is the material they use to fill the tooth. # 2 is your right upper second molar- MO is the surface mesial occlusal which is the front and biting surface of this tooth, The decay is between the teeth. Amalgam is the silver filling.

resin means tooth colored filling material and amalgam is the silver filling material the number 2 and 8 are the number given to the tooth to be treated. F, M and O are the surfaces of the tooth to be treated
Resin is a sort of plastic compound for filling teeth. Amalgam is the one that people are saying we shouldn't have any more, because it contains mercury, which leaches out into the body and can cause ill-health. Posterior means back, 2 MO perhaps second molar. The OM reference I don't know, sorry.
Toms is right. Additional info: #8 is the upper right central incisor #2 is the upper right second molar It appears as if you are being shown two options for tooth #2.
1. Tooth Colored Filling on the front of your right front tooth. 2. it means you had a tooth colored filling on two sides of your tooth. the top right tooth - furthest side to the front extending to the chewing surface of your tooth (mesial occlusal). 3. (you wrote the same tooth, double check that or ask your dentist about that)... silver filling same surfaces covered (mesial occlusal) <<<<<<<< this write up doesn't make sense. no insult to you, just double check it with your dentist. hope this helps
